Raised in rural Pennsylvania and a graduate of Heretaunga College in New Zealand, Evelyn moved to New York to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology, earning dual degrees in Photography and International Trade & Marketing. 

Her past roles include working at HGTV Magazine as a research editorial assistant, a teacher's assistant at The International Center of Photography, an archiving intern at The Richard Avedon Foundation, a photo intern at Martha Stewart Magazine, and a studio intern at Hearst Magazines.

She is an alumni of the Eddie Adams Workshop for emerging photojournalists, the Yale Writer's Workshop and has attended NYU's The Art of Pitching. 

Evelyn is a two-time AI-AP award recipient, recognized for her documentary work on music-video background dancers and her portraits of Holly Humberstone for Rolling Stone.

She is interested most in the intersection between journalism, art, and style, using photos and videos to convey strong stories.
